Who we are

Metacareerguide is a platform and service brand of Banisanova LLC, a Maryland limited liability company, which is the data controller for information collected through metacareerguide.com.

What we collect

If you subscribe to the newsletter: your email address, and the date you subscribed.

If you create an account: your email address, your name if you give it, and your confirmation that you are 18 or over.

If you pay for something: our payment processor handles your card details. We never see or store card numbers. We keep a record of what you bought and when.

If you contact us: whatever you choose to send.

Automatically: basic, aggregate analytics — pages viewed, approximate region, device type. We use privacy-respecting analytics that do not set third-party advertising cookies or track you across other websites.

Course progress stays in your browser

Your answers, scores, notes and progress in MCG Classroom and the CCAR-F Study Desk are stored locally on your own device using browser storage. They are not transmitted to us. Clearing your browser data deletes them, which is why the study tools include save-to-file and load-from-file buttons.

Who we share it with

Only service providers who need it to make the site work — our website host, email provider, and payment processor. Each is bound to protect it and may not use it for their own purposes. We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information. We may disclose information if legally required.

Cookies

We use only what is necessary to make the site work and to count visits in aggregate. We do not use third-party advertising cookies or cross-site trackers. Your browser settings can block cookies; parts of the site may then not work.

How long we keep it

Newsletter subscriptions until you unsubscribe. Account information while your account is open and for a reasonable period after. Payment records as long as tax law requires. Analytics in aggregate only.

Your rights

Wherever you live, you may ask us to show you what we hold, correct it, delete it, or stop sending you email. Contact us through the site and we will respond within 30 days. Unsubscribe links are in every newsletter.

If you are in California: the CCPA gives you rights to know, delete, and opt out of sale. We do not sell personal information, and we will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.

If you are in the EU or UK: the GDPR gives you rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection. Our lawful bases are consent (newsletter), contract (your account and purchases), and legitimate interests (site security and aggregate analytics).

Children

Metacareerguide is not directed to children. You must be 18 or older to create an account or use our services. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we learn that we have, we will delete it promptly — tell us and we will act.

Third-party AI platforms

Course activities may ask you to use AI services operated by others. Anything you enter there is governed by their privacy policies, not ours. Read them, and do not enter confidential or personal information belonging to other people.

Security and changes

We take reasonable measures to protect information, though no method of transmission or storage is completely secure. We may update this policy; material changes will be posted here with a new date.
